"She Does tells the stories of creative women in media with a mixture of interviews, commentary, clips from other works (where applicable), and the best use of show notes I’ve ever seen from a podcast. The final product comes across as part documentary, part biography, and perfectly expressed on a podcast. Traditional back-and-forth interviews are great and serve the medium well. However, there’s a duality of voice and as a consequence the interviewee’s voice can get lost in the interviewers. Sheldon and Ginsburg use the interview as a means to an end, to tell the woman’s story in each episode, but not the end itself. Each episode follows a similar format but every story feels wholly unique.
In the end, She Does’ style and subject bring fresh perspective to a podcast catalog that is often content to re-formulate what has come before than make an earnest effort to tinker with the formula or toss it out and start from scratch. If She Does (and First Day Back) are what we can expect when documentarians come to podcasting I say keep on coming."

"A podcast about creative women in media. Two women hosts and the thoughtful production quality makes this one a bit reminiscent of Invisibilia, in a good way. Every single person ever is jumping on the podcast bandwagon, and it's so great to find a new show that's not in the style of "let's record our conversation about a thing". This one’s going on my favorites playlist."
